this is a series and last book happened about 6-10 years ago by how this story starts and what characters she is writing about.Author "drags" the story out, could probably have been told in 1/2 the time, lots of boring, repetitiveness
Trying to "guess" what happened is annoying to say the least.
Author left too many years out between books in this series, it does not flow at all, which is a shame.
If she hadn't left out apx 2-10 years in between books, and been so repetitive in her stories, it would have been an enjoyable series........
names changed between books, making it harder to figure out who people were.
Really needed some major editing, especially when leaving so many years and so much happening in between books with no explanation
One of the main characters started dating for a month or so at the end of book 6, beginning of book 7 she is married and has 2 children in school and was expecting her 3rd; that is a lot of missing time and story line
Another couple we left with 2 toddlers, who in the next book were about 10 yrs older
2 main characters died with no explanation or timeline, 2 other married, no explanation or time frame on those events either..........
Very Disappointing series - with a good editor, who would pick up on all the "dead" time between books, catch the errors in people's names changing, way too much dead time between books and lack of explanation of Major events, it might have been a good series, as some of the characters were interesting

I love this author!
I'm very tired of Anna's & Lawren's great love. It's boring.
Excellent Read
Once again you had me enthralled with each chapter. Not once did I get board and skip over paragraphs! You captured my heart once again with the beloved Anna and my soul with our beloved Scotland. I highly recommend all the Series, they are perfect for women of a mature age.
I love Ruth Hay's stories. They are "pleasant fiction". I also love Scotland, so this provides a good chance to visit and make new friends.
I love Ruth Hay - she's one of my favorite authors. She has done an outstanding job with this Group. Thank you Ruth!!!!
Couldn't step reading this series of books. Characters were actually my age but renewing and expanding their lives with family,friends, new loves and new continents!
